MAPI

Automatic system for packaging biological samples in CBS HS straws

From a primary tube, MAPI performs the operations of filling, sealing, printing and validation of identification of CBS 0.3 or 0.5 mL straws (barcode and/or alphanumeric data).

MAPI integrates a flake-making robot, a control box, a special liquid nitrogen inkjet printer, and a PC equipped with CBS control software. The automated system is installed on a work surface specially designed for perfect ergonomics.

The straw flow rate is protocol-dependent (number of primary tubes and number of straws per primary tube). Start-up, maintenance and shutdown time : 15 minutes per day.

Potentially contaminated parts can be cleaned with an alcohol solution or a non-corrosive surface decontaminant. The inkjet printer requires active solvent vapor extraction.
MAPI control software

The MAPI control software is installed on the computer supplied with MAPI in order to control the cycle: distribution, filling, sealing, printing and proofreading of the sequins. The code printed on the sequin can be the barcode from the primary tube, manually entered by the user, or a fixed text.
