ULISS

The ULISS welding module is a semi-autonomous system, meaning it requires mandatory integration into a laboratory liquid handling system (LHS). Once installed and configured, this module enables the simultaneous and hermetic welding of two high-security CBS tubes in an automated manner.

By integrating into an LHS, the filling, welding and identification (primary and secondary) steps are carried out in a safe manner.

The color code indicating the module’s status is defined as follows:

Solid blue : Module powered on, awaiting initialization, or in eco mode

Solid green : Operational module

Solid red : Module fault or maintenance required

Flashing magenta : Maintenance alert for the jaws (number of cycles and alarm value set). The module can still weld.
Fixed magenta : Jaw maintenance fault (number of cycles = defined alarm value). The module can no longer weld.

Cycle description :

Insertion and placement of tubes in the support by the gripper.
Removing the gripper.
The motor is operated in a counter-clockwise direction until it reaches the welding position.
Wait 7 seconds.
Rotate the motor clockwise until it reaches the initial position.
